And while all of them items have appeared in the past on the D&D Beyond Marketplace, many do have any associated cost, so if you haven’t picked them up already now’s a great chance to get them for free.

What is the D&D Beyond 12 Days of Christmas?

Wizards of the Coast “12 Days of D&D” is an an annual event in which D&D Beyond subscribers can claim free digital gifts from the platform’s online market place. To participate, you’ll need to log into your D&D Beyond account. One thing to note, however, is that while the items are free, the checkout process may require entering billing information, which has raised the ire of more than a few DnD fans.

The 2024 event runs from December 4th to December 15th, at which point you won’t be able to get any of the items for free (although they will still be available for purchase via the D&D Beyond Marketplace).

Final Thoughts

It’s great to see Wizards of the Coast continue their annual 12 Days of D&D Christmas tradition. And while some fans may be a little disappointed by the offerings and the fact that it does require a credit card to access free items, the list does have some solid items on it.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this story in the days ahead and will update the list of free daily items as they’re released over the 12 days promotion. In the meantime, you can find more information on the D&D Beyond website.

Cameron Nichols is a Senior Editor who lives in Boston, Massachusetts, and has been playing D&D since the early 90s, when he was introduced by his older brother and cut his teeth on AD&D 2nd Edition. Since then he’s played virtually every RPG he could get his nerdy little mitts on (including a weird Goth phase in the early 2000s when he rocked Vampire: The Masquerade pretty hard). His favorite D&D campaign setting is the Forgotten Realms and his favorite character to play was a Half-Orc Barbarian named Grug (who was unfortunately devoured by a gelatinous cube).
